Business Insider reports, in an exclusive by Rya Jetha dated 5 November 2026, that San Francisco startup Humble Robotics has raised $51 million to build electric self-driving trucks with no driver’s cab. The outlet says the company told it of the round exclusively. Obvious Ventures led, with existing investors Eclipse and Energy Impact Partners taking part. Business Insider puts total funding at $75 million and says Humble declined to give a valuation.

According to the report, founder Eyal Cohen said customer pilots will begin in the first quarter of 2027 using conventional trucks, and he expects commercial operations in the third quarter of 2027. Business Insider says Humble tests its truck at a former dynamite factory on the far side of the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, with a temporary cab for supervised testing. It also reports that Humble holds a California permit to test with a safety driver and needs further regulatory steps before driverless testing or commercial service in California.

The detail comes from Business Insider’s report of the company’s own account and has not been independently verified by us.
